Jeremy Stern Biography

Jeremy Stern is an interdisciplinary artist who uses found objects, collage, drawings, videos, ceramics, photographs and paper to create and reveal new information and experience for the viewer. He has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions at numerous venues, including at the Sheldon Museum of Art (Lincoln, NE), Stremmel Gallery and Sierra Arts Gallery in Reno, the Rosenberg Gallery at New York University, RNG Gallery (Omaha, NE) and at several of the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts’ Annual Art Auctions and events. The artist earned his BS in Studio Art from New York University, and is an MFA candidate at the University of Nevada, Reno. Formerly the Assistant Director and Curator for the Bemis Center as well as the founding Director for the Bemis Underground in Omaha, Stern is now a full-time, 2011 Interdisciplinary MFA candidate, founder and President of the Graduate Arts Students Association (GASA) at UNR, and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno.
